It was a new event for York Rotary putting us firmly on the map for helping and encouraging Fashion Students in the City. It was a well attended exhibition at the Spurriergate Centre with four award presentations, and an excellent end to the academic year York Rotary have spent with the students. When the York Rotary Fashion Award was announced we were welcomed with a great big cheer from both Lecturers and Students who really appreciated our year visiting the York Art school
Mags Godderidge CEO of Survive talked to York Rotary on 12th June. Survive are the York Rotary nominated charity for the 2026 Dragon Boat Challenge. Mags started with thanks, not just for the anticipated support, but for getting her out of the office for a couple of hours where enabling to avoid having to plate spinning and fire fighting for a couple of hours. York Pride was an exciting move for York Rotary. Daring to be different, Mary Lumley and Jane Albon took the Tea Tent to a grass plot with no services at all. York Pride is now the biggest event in North Yorkshire and as an External Relationship exercise we had a stall at this years event. It was a three team event to try this out.
