York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge 2026 off to a great start
Within fourteen days of launching the team application process York Rotary are delighted that we have a full compliment of 36 teams with reserves. Some of the teams have already started fundraising so we are off to a great start and we are looking forward to the event on Sunday 12th July. Fun Antiques quiz evening
On Wednesday 18 th February we enjoyed a Fun Antiques Quiz evening organised by the Fundraising team led by Sheila Weatherburn. Salvation Army Christmas Toys Appeal
Major Andrew Vertigan, Commanding Officer, at York Salvation Army, spoke to York Rotary on the 6th February informing the club of the First Christmas Annual Toy Appeal, under his leadership. He was involved at Christmas 2024 before officially being appointed in January. He made a number of changes for Christmas 2025, to streamline much of the process leading up to a record amount of families and children, having gifts at Christmas.
