The York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge - Sunday 8th July 2012
This is the club's major fund raising effort each year. The format follows that of previous years. Racing takes place on the River Ouse and teams take part from across the County. Entertainment and stalls are provided along the river side.
The nominated charity for 2011 was York against Cancer. The nominated charity for 2012 is to be announced shortly.
The total raised for charity by the eight Dragon Boat Challenges (2003-11) is well over £500,000. For full details of the 2012 Challenge along with the results from 2003 through to 2011 - click on the dragon.
