York Rotary Fashion awards
The York Rotary Fashion Awards is a new event for York Rotary encouraging Fashion Students in the City. The awards were instigated by President Jane Albon as a great initiative and the awards were presented earlier in the year. The students had to [pass through various stages and complete tasks before the final results were judged and the details were announced earlier in the year.
On the 11th September Lynn Wood the head of fashion at York College and students Jenny Ackroyd who was the runner up and winner Beth Warriner talked to York Rotary and told us about the awards and the impact of them. We learnt a lot about this new project and the impact that it has.
York Rotary is going to be sponsoring a Fashion Design Award for the second year running. The award is for students at the York School of Art at York College and University Centre. The award will be the culmination of masterclasses by York Rotary President Jane Albon who is also the creator of global brand Nature's Purest.
