Spreading warmth this Christmas
A huge thank you to all members , family and friends of the Rotary Club of York, York Inner Wheel and the St Andrew Society for collecting over 500 pairs of socks for those experiencing homelessness in York. Discover:Dine:Dance – 3 Degrees of FUN
As a Fundraising Social event the fundraising team organised our branded Discover:Dine:Dance event held at the Novotel on the 26 th November. Discover: Quiz Master John Lacy organised a fun quiz covering a wide variety of topics and the individual tables competed with one another. John lead the quiz with great humour. Success! The York High School Chromebook Project is complete.
In December 2024, invited by the school’s link teacher, Mary Lumley and Eileen Davis went along to meet the then new Headteacher, Gavin Kumar and accepted the challenge to provide a trolley and up to 36 Chromebooks for the Reflection Room. During 2025, we have worked with the Rotary Club of York Vikings to add weight to the ambitious project.
