The York Rotary Christmas lunch was held at the Novotel on Friday 19 th  December.  It was a very joyous occasion attended by over 100 Rotarians, partners and friends. On Wednesday December 17th, three members from the Rotary Youth Team met at York College to present the first Construction Awards of this academic year. On Tuesday 9 th  December some 25 guests were hosted to tea by members of the Community Services Team at the Novotel Hotel for a Christmas afternoon tea. Members of the team, together with partners, collected our guests from their homes and hosted them at the hotel. Amongst our guests were those referred by Age UK and who are collected weekly by taxi and taken to the University of York for the Tea and Coffee project. As a Fundraising Social event the fundraising team organised our branded Discover:Dine:Dance event held at the Novotel on the 26 th November. Discover:  Quiz Master John Lacy organised a fun quiz covering a wide variety of topics and the individual tables competed with one another.  John lead the quiz with great humour.  In giving the answers the answer for one question related to the Three Wise Men and John told us with a straight face that they came from the “East Riding”,
