DONATE YOUR LUNCH!
Although we are physically "shut down" during the Covid-19 emergency, we can still help our local community and those worse off than ourselves...

Whilst we are not coming to lunch meetings, here is an opportunity to provide help for others...
by making donations to support local charities with particular needs during this pandemic, and other Rotary International causes.

Donations from friends and members of the public are, of course, also very welcome

Donations made this month will be added to our Club Charity Fund to provide support for local charities with particular needs due to the COVID pandemic
INSTRUCTIONS:

Use the "DONATE" button to send your weekly (lunch) £18 - or more, or less - to our Charity Fund.

All these donations will be consolidated and sent each month by our Treasurer to the charity we are supporting (selected by our Community Service team).

If you want to participate, you can do so in a number of ways...

1. Just use the Donate button - it will accept debit card, credit card, or Paypal account if you have one.
(nb you DON'T NEED to have Paypal yourself).
There are various options re the amount - if you'd rather pay two weeks (£36) or more, or less, that's fine.

2. Online is easiest! But if you prefer, you can send a cheque (payable to RCoY) to Brian Joscelyne at his home address in Heworth, these will then get paid in to our charity account and added to the online donations.

SUPPORTING ROTARY FOUNDATION
Members can support Foundation, Rotary's own international charity, in a number of ways:

- Adding a donation to your annual subscription each July
(The Treasurer will allocate accordingly)

- Making a donation at any time. (use the Charity Account number below;
make sure you enter "foundation/your name" in the description)

- Setting up a Standing Order for regular payments to Rotary Foundation UK (sustaining membership)
- just download the form..

SELL YOUR STUFF OR GO ON HOLIDAY FOR CHARITY!
Here's a NEW way of raising funds for our Charity Account, which supports so many good local charitable causes
We now have a Charity Account with Ebay, the online auction and selling site.

Donated items from members can be sold without any fees, and the funds go directly into our Charity Fund.
This will supplement our fundraising efforts at St Crux days, and is designed for items that are not suitable for selling at St Crux.
Read more details about the scheme, and the guidelines, here
This programme is still running, despite Covid-19. I will collect any items donated! Brian J

In an arrangement with Riviera Travel (whose holidays are recommended by several of our members) we can now all fundraise effortlessly as we book a holiday!!
Our Charity Fund will receive a donation of 10% of your holiday cost with Riviera.
For full details please click here
Note also that holidays booked by any friends or relatives with Riviera (If they mention Rotary Club of York) will also result in a similar 10% donation to our Club.
