This is the first Halloween by Zoom, being held as a joint venture of Erlangen and York Rotary clubs.  The objectives will be:

​

• Halloween fun

• An opportunity to hear more about the visit to Germany 2025, hosted by Erlangen

 

The date is Thursday October at 6.30pm (UK time or 19.30 CET time). On the night the ‘Zoom Room’ will be open from 6.15pm (19.15 CET) - details of the Zoom room login will be advised to all those attending a few days in advance of the event.

The event is intended as a fun and informative evening as well as a time to catch up with friends.  The plan is that during the evening we will:

​

• hear about the history of Halloween and Guy Faukes

• experience some ghost stories

• pumpkin carving competition of shared images of carved pumpkins and Halloween decorations from our Zoom rooms

• hear a detailed update in respect of the planned visit to Germany 22nd to 25th May 2025

​

Food and drink - Participants might want to enjoy some appropriate Halloween food in their Zoom rooms during the evening​​​​​​​​

​

Dress: This is not planned as a fancy dress evening, but members might want to decorate their Zoom rooms with carved pumpkin lanterns or similar.  We will have a small competition to select the best Halloween decorations displayed during the evening

YOU MUST PRE-BOOK A "SPOT" (i.e. a screen, for one or two people) via the sign up form below.  If you want to join as a mini group of Rotarians living locally to one another, that can be done, please indicate on the booking form.
