SHOUKSMITH
TROPHY
The Trophy was presented by Tom Shouksmith in 1933 during his Presidential year and was played for annually at selected golf clubs in the area. The format was changed to a singles knock-out competition in 1981. The Thompson Plate was presented in 1987 and is played for by the first round losers in the Shouksmith Trophy.
The 2008 draw will be made from all the known golfers in the York club. The format is a singles knockout competition and the first round losers are automatically entered for the Thompson Plate. The draw and the results for 2007 are on the golf results page.
BILL MANN TROPHY - SUNDAY 17TH AUGUST 2008
The Bill Mann Trophy Day will be on Sunday 17th August 2008 at Forest Park Golf Club. Golf will start at 13.00 followed by a meal at 19.30 for 20.00 in the club house. Further details will be available nearer the event. Bill Mann donated the trophy to promote fellowship between the three Rotary clubs in York and all Rotarians in York are invited to play golf and join with their partners at the evening function whether golfers or not.
CHARITY GOLF DAY - FRIDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER
Pocklington and Market Weighton Rotary Club are holding their 13th Annual Charity Day on 5th September at Allerthorpe Park Golf Club. Teams of 2, cost per person £50 to include prizes, refreshments, and a meal following your round. Further details from Ken Garland Tel 01759 388202 Mob 07775 710548
