BILL MANN TROPHY
The Bill Mann Trophy
was won by John Quickfall at Forest Park Golf Club on Sunday 19th August
2007 at a well supported event by all three clubs in York. The prizes were
presented by Sheila Royle, Bill's daughter, at the evening function at the
club. Sheila is now a Rotarian herself, a member of the Monkseaton
Centenary Club in North Tyneside.

CHESTER-LE-STREET
MATCH
This
was held at Fulford, York on Friday 3rd August 2007. An inspired
performance by the York Rotary club resulted in a win 3:1 over the
Chester-Le-Street Rotary club, a reversal of the score last year and the
McLeish Shield is now held by York. Perhaps the real winner of this annual
match is the fellowship generated by this event over the last 22
years. The overall score is York 9, Chester-Le-Street 9, and 4
matches halved.
SHOUKSMITH
TROPHY
2008
Presented by Tom Shouksmith in 1933 during
his Presidential year and played for annually at selected golf clubs in
the area. The format was changed to a singles knock-out competition in
1981.
