The York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge - Sunday 11th July 2010

This is the club's major fund raising effort each year. The format will follow that of previous years. Racing takes place on the River Ouse and teams take part from across the County. Entertainment and stalls are provided along the river side.

The nominated charity for 2010 is St Leonards Hospice. President Ian Stockley said:- " This year it was the unanimous decision of the club to select St Leonards in their jubilee year and support their new Hospice@Home initiative."

The total raised for charity by the seven Dragon Boat Challenges (2003-9) is over £480,000  For full details of the 2009 Challenge along with the results from 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 - click on the dragon.
